[57] 7. "Lofty is this mansion with pillars of gems,
twelve yojanas all around,

That deity (devaputta), delighted, questioned by Moggallāna,
… of what deed (kamma) this is the fruit:
"Merits (puñña) are to be done by the wise one who understands,
among bhikkhus who are united in concord, where what is given bears great fruit.
Truly for my benefit did the bhikkhus come from the forest to the village;
having made my mind (citta) serene therein, I have arisen in Tāvatiṃsa.
Because of that my complexion is such,
