[59] 9. "Lofty is this mansion with its pillars of gems, twelve yojanas all around; … and your complexion shines forth in every direction." That young deva (devaputta), elated at being questioned by Moggallāna, … of what kamma this is the fruit: "When I was a human being among humans, in a former birth, in the human world, I saw a stainless bhikkhu, serene and unclouded; confident at heart, I gave him a needle with my own hands. Because of that such is my complexion; … and my complexion shines forth in every direction." (5) The Second Needle Mansion (Dutiyasūcivimāna), the ninth.
