[1113] "O khattiya, I was a slave-woman of an Ambaṭṭha family,
a servant sent about at others' bidding;
and I was restrained, living by Dhamma,
virtuous, and of views free from evil.
Then I gave the food that had been served out [as my share]
to a bhikkhu as he walked [for alms];
glad and joyful in mind (citta), I myself [gave it]—
such for me is the fruit of that deed (kamma)."
