[1148] Nor does he burn another, nor himself — he who, unswayed by infatuation, guides what should and should not be guided; [Apparatus: #1 Burmese ed.: "puṇṇāyateneva". 2 Burmese ed.: "yo ca".] the sovereign who here wields the rod, he, guarded by his virtues, does not fall away from glory (sirī).
