[1226] When a tree stands laden with fruit, the birds come flocking together and feed upon it; but knowing, "It is spent," when the tree's fruit is gone, #1 In the Burmese edition the word "ca" is absent. 2 The Sinhalese and European editions read "vihagā"; so too hereafter. the birds depart from it in all directions.
