Pānīyajātaka

[1544] "Great king, robbers seized my father in the forest; questioned by them, though I knew, I answered about him otherwise. Because of that I afterward felt revulsion: 'That evil (pāpa) was committed by me; may I not do evil again!' Therefore I have gone forth (pabbajita)."
