[1600] Ever since I can remember myself, ever since I attained the age of discretion (viññutā),
I am not aware of having intentionally harmed even a single living being.
By this declaration of truth (saccavajja), may the ship turn back in safety.

The glorious noble elephant who well supported his mother (Mātuposaka),
then Juṇhaka, and Dhamma with the excellent Udaya,
next Pānīya, and Yudhañjayaka,
