Takkāriyajātaka

[1833] A hundred thousand ill-spoken words are not worth even a fraction (kalā) of a single word well spoken. Wary of ill speech, [one] is but defiled (kilesa) thereby; therefore the kimpurisa keeps silent — not out of folly.
