Rurumigajātaka

[1842] Having made his bow unerring and fitted the arrow, [the king] drew near; and the deer, seeing the king, addressed him from afar: "Wait, great king! Do not shoot me, O bull among charioteers. Who was it, pray, that told you this: 'Here stands that deer'?"
