[1914] 　　　　There is no purity through sprinkling with water, 　　　　nor is a brahmin thereby consummate (kevalī); 　　　　neither patience (khanti) nor meekness (soracca) comes of it, 　　　　nor is such a one fully quenched (parinibbuta).
