Surucijātaka

Suttapiṭaka · Khuddakanikāya · Jātaka (1) · Vol. 27 · Section 1949

[1949] Unkempt (dummī), covered with dust and dirt, standing poised in the open, unobstructed sky, you speak a charming word that goes straight to my heart. Are you a deity (devatā) come from heaven (sagga), or a seer (isi) of great supernormal power (mahiddhika)? Or who are you who have arrived here? Declare yourself to me.
