Pañcuposathikajātaka

[1956] "When I had entered the belly of a great elephant, delighting in the carcass, greedy for elephant flesh, the hot wind and the piercing rays of the sun dried up that elephant's dung-passage. "Thin and pale was I, venerable sir, and there was no way for me to get out; then a great cloud suddenly poured down rain, and it moistened that dung-passage. "Then I came out, venerable sir, like the moon released from the mouth of Rāhu; therefore I keep the uposatha: may greed (lobha) not come to me again!"
