Suttapiṭaka · Khuddakanikāya · Jātaka (1) · Vol. 27 · Section 1960

[1960] "A Paccekabuddha, unstained, sat for a moment in my hermitage; he made known to me his going and his coming, his name, his clan, and all his conduct (caraṇa). Even so, I did not venerate his feet, nor did I, out of pride (māna), question him; therefore I keep the Uposatha, thinking: 'May pride never come to me again.'" The Pañcuposathika Jātaka, the seventh, is concluded. 8. THE MAHĀMORA JĀTAKA
