Mahāmorajātaka

[1966] "There are no devas," so declare some; "right here the soul (jīva) comes to annihilation (vibhava), and likewise the fruit of deeds well done and ill done"; and giving (dāna), they say, is a thing laid down by fools. Believing the word of those arahants, therefore I harm birds.
