[1982] It is not that my fangs do not exist; strength lies gathered in my body.
But having seen the kinsmen united together as one,
therefore I brood alone in the forest.
Formerly these very ones fled in every direction,
many of them, stricken with fear, seeking places of refuge;
but now they have come together and dwell as one:
where they stand, today they are hard for me to overcome.
Possessed of a leader, banded together, speaking with one voice,
in concord they could do me harm;
therefore I have no desire for them.
