[1993] Therefore indeed a wise man, seeing clearly his own good,
should not come under the sway of greed (lobha); he should strike down the mind (mano) that is his enemy.⁵
Knowing thus⁶ the danger (ādīnava), knowing craving (taṇhā) to be the origin of suffering (dukkha),
a bhikkhu rid of craving, free from grasping, mindful, should wander forth.
The Mahāvāṇija Jātaka, the tenth, is ended.
