[2177] "Delight, my son, in the faring for alms (bhikkhācariyā);
having considered things (dhammesu) with care, wander forth;
laying down the rod toward all beings,
blameless, attain the station of Brahmā.

you make me, who am suffering (dukkhita) already, suffer yet more, Sudhammā;
when told, 'Plead with your son,'
you spur the prince on all the more."
