[2445] "Practice the Dhamma, great king, toward mother and father, O khattiya;
having practiced the Dhamma here, O king, you shall go to heaven (sagga).
Practice the Dhamma, great king, toward children and wives, O khattiya;
having practiced the Dhamma here, O king, you shall go to heaven.
Practice the Dhamma, great king, toward friends and ministers, O khattiya;
having practiced the Dhamma here, O king, you shall go to heaven.
Practice the Dhamma, great king, toward mounts and troops;
having practiced the Dhamma here, O king, you shall go to heaven.
Practice the Dhamma, great king, toward villages and market towns;
having practiced the Dhamma here, O king, you shall go to heaven.
Practice the Dhamma, great king, toward realms and provinces;
having practiced the Dhamma here, O king, you shall go to heaven.
Practice the Dhamma, great king, toward ascetics and brahmins;
having practiced the Dhamma here, O king, you shall go to heaven.

having practiced the Dhamma here, O king, you shall go to heaven.
Practice the Dhamma, great king: the Dhamma, when practiced, brings happiness;
having practiced the Dhamma here, O king, you shall go to heaven.
Practice the Dhamma, great king: Inda and the devas, together with the Brahmās,
attained heaven through what was well practiced; do not, O king, be heedless of the Dhamma.
Right there are the rules of conduct (vattapada) for you; this itself is the instruction, and it is excellent: as one who consorts with those possessed of wisdom, know it in full for yourself."
