[259] Beautiful are the fish of the Gaṅgā,² and beautiful,² too, are those of the Yamunā; but this four-footed person, round as a banyan tree, with neck a little outstretched, outshines them all. # ¹ Burmese ed.: "mā kañci." ² Burmese ed.: "sobhati maccho gaṅgeyyā atho sobhati yāmuno" (singular: "Beautiful is the fish of the Gaṅgā, and beautiful too the one of the Yamunā").
