[306] "For one bitten by a black snake (kaṇhāhi) some indeed can effect a cure; for one possessed by a non-human being (amanussa)² the wise can effect a cure; but for one led away by sensual desire no one can effect a cure — for when one has strayed past the bright dhamma, what cure can there be?"
