[326] "Skill (dakkheyya), dear son, is the one word (ekapada) bound up with many benefits (attha);¹ and that same skill, conjoined with virtue (sīla) and brought into being by patience (khanti), is able to bring friends to happiness, or to bring suffering upon foes."
