[659] "They say, O Thousand-eyed One (sahassanetta), that what is ignoble is not to be done by a noble one, even by one fallen into utter misery. O lord of the people (janinda), may that wealth never be at all for the sake of whose enjoyment we would forsake faith (saddhā)."
