[693] "A man whose affection is like turmeric dye, whose mind (citta) is a monkey's, quick to feel passion and as quick to lose it — # [Apparatus at the foot of the source page; the lemmas belong to preceding items, not to this verse: ¹ Sī., Yu. read "na hi". ² M. reads "kandantu". ³ Sī., Yu. read "vihesikā"; M. reads "vibhiṃsikā".] such a one, dear son, do not associate with — even should [the world] be devoid of human beings."
