[709]
Truly, while I was ablaze
like a fire sprinkled with ghee,
as though dousing me with water
he quenched all my anguish (dara).
Truly the dart (salla) has been drawn out⁵ from me —
the sorrow (soka) that was lodged in my heart⁶ —
by him who, when I was overcome with sorrow,
dispelled my sorrow for my father.
