Uragajātaka

[719] If I should weep, I would grow thin — and what fruit would there be in that for me? For our kinsmen, friends, and companions there would be only greater discontent. As he is being burned he does not know the lamentation of his kinsmen; therefore I do not sorrow for him: he has gone to whatever destination (gati) was his.
