[881] And whoever, whether in cold or in heat, amid wind and scorching sun, gadflies and creeping things, overcoming hunger and thirst entirely, is constantly engaged [in his work] night and day, and does not neglect the good that comes in its due season— that man is pleasing to me; in him indeed would I make my dwelling.
