[954] Gone forth (pabbajitā) these seven years, wearing our topknots in the midst of the forest, sustaining ourselves on mere leavings (vighāsa) — if we are blameworthy in the eyes of the venerable sir, who, then, would be praiseworthy to the venerable sir?
