Come now, O steward (katte), come — you shall see with me
that abode of incomparable majesty,
where the Nāga King dwells amid dance and song,
even as King Vessavaṇa dwells at Niḷiññā.
That place, roamed by the nāga maidens in their troops,
sported in constantly by day and by night,
abounding in garlands, covered over with many flowers,
shines like lightning in the sky.
Amply provided with food and drink,
with dances, with songs, and with instrumental music,
filled with maidens richly adorned,
it is resplendent with garments and ornaments.
