There might even be an obstacle for me — I shall go straightaway, O bull among charioteers (rathesabha).
For these women are not open to entreaty (yācayogī); they are makers of obstruction.
Women know spells (manta); they take everything by the left — the wrong way.
While you are giving the gift (dāna) out of faith (saddhā), do not look upon their mother;
she might even create an obstacle — I shall go straightaway, O bull among charioteers.
Summon your children; let them not see their mother.
For one giving a gift out of faith, it is thus that merit (puñña) increases.
