[1177] Or else, taking up my bow and girding my sword at my left side, I shall bring back my own children — for the beating of one's children is painful (dukkha). That the boys should be so afflicted is a grievous thing that ought not to be; yet who, knowing the Dhamma of the good, having given, feels remorse afterward?
