[1219] He who was a support for those who beg, as the earth is for beings — he, King Vessantara, dwelling in the forest, gave his children to me. He who was the resort of those who beg, as the ocean is for the flowing rivers — he, King Vessantara, dwelling in the forest, gave his children to me.
