[1225] This is what Kaṇhājinā said: "Father dear, this brahmin beats me with his stick, as though I were a slave-girl born in the house. This is no brahmin, father — brahmins are righteous; it is a yakkha in the guise of a brahmin who is leading us away, father, to devour us. As we are being carried off by a demon (pisāca), why, father, do you look on?"
