Suttapiṭaka · Khuddakanikāya · Jātaka (2) · Vol. 28 · Section 14

[14] Straight to the north from here the river Khemā flows forth from the Himavant; upon its bank stands my delightful hermitage — oh, may the good sir see my hermitage! Mangoes and sāl trees, tilakas and rose-apples, uddālakas and pāṭalis all in bloom, with kiṃpurisas singing on every side — oh, may the good sir see my hermitage! Palms and roots and fruits are mine here; endowed it is with color and with fragrance, endowed as well with lovely stretches of ground — oh, may the good sir see my hermitage! Fruits and roots are here in abundance, endowed with color, with fragrance, and with taste; but hunters come to that region — let them not carry off my roots and fruits from there!
