[156] "In the darkness we have gained knowledge (ñāṇa), as a flame from fire (jātaveda): even so has the honorable Kosiya revealed the Dhamma to us. Just as the sun at its rising — the god of light (vāsudeva), the maker of radiance — makes visible to living beings forms both fair and foul, even so has the honorable Kosiya revealed the Dhamma to us."
