[206] "If it was by your own effort that the snare was laid for the geese, then, friend, we accept from you this gift of safety (abhayadakkhiṇā). But if it was not by your own effort that the snare was laid for the geese, then, not being the owner, in releasing us you would be committing theft, hunter."
