[216] Seeing the hunter serene at heart, the King of Kāsi said this: "When this [lotus pond], friend Khemaka, stands full of swans (haṃsa), how did you, snare in hand, draw near to him who had gone into the midst of that lovely throng? How did you seize him — no middling one — thronged about by hosts of his kin?"
