[264] Those [goddesses], provoked to utmost anger by Nārada, thus addressed, and drunk with vanity in their own beauty, went into the presence of the Thousand-eyed One (Sahassacakkhu) and asked the lord of beings (bhūtādhipa): "Who, pray, is the superior one?"
