[276] "Men endowed with skill (sippa), with knowledge and conduct (vijjā, caraṇa), and with intelligence (buddhi),
proficient in their own work,
when forsaken by you gain nothing at all;
that is not good — this that you have done.
I see a person lazy and gluttonous,
a man even of very low family and ill-favored;
yet he, guarded by you, O Sirī, possessed of wealth and happy,
orders about even one of good birth as though a slave.
Therefore I know you for one untruthful,
consorting without discrimination, deluded, one who casts down the wise.
One such as you deserves not even a seat and water —
how much less the ambrosia (sudhā)? Go! You please me not."
