Suttapiṭaka · Khuddakanikāya · Jātaka (2) · Vol. 28 · Section 365

[365] "You who do not understand your own death, nor what is beneficial and what is harmful, nor the downfall (vinipāta) and heaven, who are greedy for taste and entrenched in misconduct (duccarita) — what boon will you give, O you of evil nature (pāpadhamma)? And were I to say to you, 'Grant the boon,' you, even having granted it, might go back on it. What wise man, knowing it, would enter upon this quarrel, this dispute, evident here and now for one to see (sandiṭṭhika)?"
