[418] "Let them yoke the horses to the chariots; bind the girths upon the elephants (nāga).
Let conches and paṇḍava drums sound forth; let the single-headed drums thunder.
Let the braced drums thunder; let the sweet-sounding kettledrums thunder;
and let the townsfolk follow after me — I go to counsel my son.
Let the harem women and the princes, the vessas and the brahmins,
swiftly yoke the carriages — I go to counsel my son.
Let the elephant riders, the guardsmen of the ranks, the charioteers, and the foot soldiers
swiftly yoke the carriages — I go to counsel my son.
The country folk who have assembled and the townsfolk who have assembled —
