[465] By the name "Nārada" — as "Kassapa" they know me.
I have come into your presence: good is the coming together with the good.
May every joy be yours in that; may your abiding (vihāra) continue.
Whatever is lacking, fulfill it with patience (khanti) and with calm (upasama).
[Do not hold yourself to be a khattiya.]¹
Stretch out what is bowed down, and strike away what is lifted up;²
honoring action (kamma), true knowledge (vijjā), and the Dhamma, wander forth.
¹ Burmese edition: อมญฺญิตฺถ (amaññittha). [No anchor for this note stands in the Pali as supplied; it evidently belongs to the line restored above in brackets from the Thai control — see FLAGS.]
² Burmese edition: ปสารยุ (pasārayu).
English translation from the Pali (Siam Raṭṭha edition) — under review, not for citation.
