[474] Even one who would not eat at the fourth meal-time, who would die of hunger like one perishing of starvation — surely he, a true man (sappurisa) of the stamp of a son of good family (kulaputta), would never partake of a soiled, ignoble morsel of food? This is not good, this is not proper: you, Janaka, are eating the leavings of a dog!
