[490] "Do not lament so grievously, Sāma, fair to behold;
having become a servant, I shall support them for you in the great forest.
And I am skilled in the archer's art, renowned as one of firm bow;
having become a servant, I shall support them for you in the great forest.
Searching out the leavings of the wild beasts, and the roots and fruits of the forest,
having become a servant, I shall support them for you in the great forest.
Which is that forest, Sāma, where your mother and father dwell?
I shall support them just as you yourself have supported them."
