"Assuredly, great king, you will long exercise a kingship
that is ever free from calamity and secure;
for such is your wisdom.
In this we rejoice with you: that you are not heedless of the Dhamma (dhamma).
Grown heedless of the Dhamma, a khattiya lord falls from his realm.
Practice the Dhamma, great king — toward mother and father, O khattiya;
having practiced the Dhamma here, O king, you will go to heaven (sagga).
Practice the Dhamma, great king — toward children and wives, O khattiya;
having practiced the Dhamma here, O king, you will go to heaven.
Practice the Dhamma, great king — toward friends and ministers, O khattiya;
having practiced the Dhamma here, O king, you will go to heaven.
Practice the Dhamma, great king — toward mounts and troops;
having practiced the Dhamma here, O king, you will go to heaven.
Practice the Dhamma, great king — in villages and in market towns;
having practiced the Dhamma here, O king, you will go to heaven.

having practiced the Dhamma here, O king, you will go to heaven.

having practiced the Dhamma here, O king, you will go to heaven.

having practiced the Dhamma here, O king, you will go to heaven.
Practice the Dhamma, great king — the Dhamma, when practiced, brings happiness;
having practiced the Dhamma here, O king, you will go to heaven.
Practice the Dhamma, great king — the Indras and the devas, together with the Brahmās,
have attained the heavenly world through what is well practiced.
Do not, O king, be heedless of the Dhamma."
