[710] "This stone (selo), well tended, ever honored and revered, well worn and well laid away, would bring every aim to fulfillment. But for one who fails in the due care of it, whether in laying it away or in wearing it, this stone, tended unwisely, makes for his ruin. No unskilled man is worthy to wear this divine gem (maṇi); accept a hundred nikkhas of gold, and give this jewel to me."
