Soṇakajātaka

Suttapiṭaka · Khuddakanikāya · Jātaka (2) · Vol. 28 · Section 78

[78] Who now are my king-makers — the charioteers, those who have attained proficiency? I shall hand over the kingship; I have no need of kingship. This very day I shall go forth, for who knows whether death may come tomorrow? I shall not, witless like the crow, fall under the sway of sensual pleasures (kāma).
