[929] Behold, at the foot of the mountains, the many herds of beasts of every kind: lions, tigers, and boars, bears, wolves, and hyenas; rhinoceroses and gayals, buffaloes, rohita deer, and ruru deer, eṇeyya antelopes and sarabha deer as well, and nikka boars that range in troops; many dappled kadalī deer, cats, hares, and kaṇṇaka squirrels— behold, fashioned in the gem, a scene thronged with herds of beasts of every kind.
