Vidhurajātaka

[964] Even one who has gained the door and obtains entrance should never place his trust in kings; let him stand restrained like fire — such a one may dwell in the royal court (rājavasati). When the khattiya (king) advances his son or his own brother with villages or with market towns, with realms or with provinces, let him remain silent, looking on with equanimity, and speak neither of good nor of ill.
