[126] **They take up and let go** (te uggahāyanti nirassajanti): They grasp a teacher; having released that one, they grasp another teacher. They grasp an exposition of the Dhamma (dhammakkhāna); having released that, they grasp another exposition of the Dhamma. They grasp a group; having released that, they grasp another group. They grasp a view (diṭṭhi); having released that, they grasp another view. They grasp a mode of practice (paṭipadā); having released that, they grasp another mode of practice. They grasp a path (magga); having released that, they grasp another path. They both grasp and release, they both take up and let go. Therefore it is said: "They take up and let go."
