[304] **A hero, like one nourished on the king's food (sūro yathā rājakhadāya puṭṭho)** — "A hero (sūro)": a hero, a valiant one, courageous, unafraid, undaunted, not given to terror, one who does not flee. "Nourished on the king's food (rājakhadāya puṭṭho)": nourished on the king's hard food (khādanīya) and the king's soft food (bhojanīya) — fed, brought up, provided for, raised. Thus, "a hero, like one nourished on the king's food."
